Haven't you been watching South Park, Family Guy, Key & Peele, MadTV, SNL, It's Always Sunny, and all that??? Besides, if I remember Blazing Saddles correctly. Brooks never mocked a group, or set of people to make racist, homophobic jokes, and be offensive for the heck of it. Brooks used comedy to actually mock the real injustices, and reality that existed in the society of that era.

Alright here's my situation. I was a young, brown haired 18 y/old, European, kinda good loking but not specially handsome boy and I didn't have anyting to be laught at. At least anything like gender, skin, thought... etc. And of course I tried my best to not offend anyone cause I thought it was really hurting. But the fact is that... You only get offended when you got something that is really bad for you. Like a cancer joke. Something that you say "Okay, you reminded me of my bad situation and you don't care about it not even a little". I got diagnosed with diabetes type 1 at that age. It's been two years since then. Although I know it's not as bad as a cancer, of course, It really is a shit. I used to laugh at diabetes jokes. But now... I STILL FUCKING LAUGH. 'CAUSE IT IS FUNNY. STOP BITCHING. IF YOUR GLASS IS HALF EMPTY, POUR THE WATER INTO A SMALLER GLASS AND MOVE FUCKING ON. English is not my first, not even my second language, so sorry for the ortographic errors. I love you.

These shows still exist, not because they are racist and offensive but because beneath their offensive nature there's a message to be given. No episode of Sunny is racist because it's fun, every episode of Sunny mocks racism for being dumb.

There is a difference between using racist/sexist language to make a joke about racism/ sexism than simply making a racist/sexist joke. These people who look at an old piece of satire like Blazing Saddles and thinks there was a time when people could be offensive without consequence have no idea that their too dumb to understand what was actually happening. They literally don't get that the joke was about them. All of those idiot cowboys using the n-word as if it were any other word and the only intelligent people played along to fool them. It was literally a joke about stupid assholes with no concept of decorum or decency. There is no other film that I could think of that so precisely contradicts the point OP is trying to make.
